White Pants - Oh Yeah!

Here we are still pretty much in mid winter yearning for summer.  if we're lucky enough to have got away to a favorite or a new resort, bully for you.  I'm going in a week of two to Barbados and I'm looking forward to it immensely.I'm pretty well set for that trip and I decided to look at the collections recent runway activity and I'm quite encouraged. I think the 2008 fashions are exciting and mostly fun and I am looking forward to wearing them.

Why don't you get rid of those last few inhibitions and make 2008 a year when you really broke away from convention and started to make a statement.  At least that's what I'm going to do. I love  high fashion, urban statements and I really like to wear casual things that are a bit racy and show off my assets, so I should have a good time don't you think?

Let's start with the casual end of things. All sorts of gorgeous combinations of denim and wedge sandals and stunning tops with unusual fabrics and knock 'em out color.  Let me show you a couple of things and I think your mouth will start watering. OK - go to Nordstrom's - denim shop - 7 for all Mankind.  Look at these lovely pants -  7 For All Mankind® 'Dojo Crystal Chain Pocket' Stretch Twill Jeans in white. This is a great silhouette updated in a white stretch twill with glittering silver chain details on the back pockets. Just a lovely pair of pants.  Nordstrom's item # 208381 and the price is $231.  OK - what about some nice tops to go with those pants?  What about this one by Marc Jacobs? Flocked Dot Tie Neck Top in silk with an allover flocked dot pattern. Six tiny buttons trail below the front keyhole. It has cut away shoulders.  Very cute indeed. Nordstrom item # 203348  $198.

I'd better get to those summer dresses before we do anything else. Let's go to ShopBop and see.  Right away there's this Tibi with a Paisley Scarf Bib Front Dress. Print silk-twill dress with crew neck and 4-button closure at front. Ruching at bust and back. Hidden zipper at side. Flutter sleeves. Lined. ShopBop's item # TIBII20035 and priced at $321.

Let's go for another one before we leave. This one's really sweet too! Juicy Couture's Button Front Shift Dress. A woven scoop-neck dress with 10-button detail at front and contrast grosgrain trim at front and bottom hem. Hidden zipper at side. 2" straps.  Pretty short at #3" long which suits me. ShopBop's item #JUICY20304 and the price is $328.
